Benalmadena

Benalmadena is a coastal town located between Torremolinos and Fuengirola. The municipality consists of five different areas which are Benalmádena Pueblo, Arroyo de la Miel, Benalmádena Costa, Torrequebrada, and Torremuelle. The internationally known port of Puerto Marina is in Benalmádena Costa and has been named the world's best marina on two occasions. 

Torrequebrada has a famous 18-hole golf course. The train station is located in Arroyo de la Miel and by train it takes about 20 minutes to Malaga Airport. Benalmádena has a lot to offer such as the Tivoli World amusement park, the Selwo Marina Dolphinarium and the only ice rink in Andalusia. If you are thinking of buying a home on the Costa del Sol, Benalmadena is a town to consider. Here you have a wonderful climate, lots of activities and fantastic restaurants. 

The area is divided into three different districts, each with its own special character. Benalmádena Costa is the beautiful coastal strip of hotels, shopping, and bars. Benalmádena Pueblo is a small village with whitewashed houses, narrow alleys and the genuine Andalusian village feeling. The third area is Arroyo de la Miel, a lively area with shopping, restaurants and bars for evening activities. There are also many nice residential areas if you are interested in buying an apartment, both new production and older properties. For golf lovers, The Golf Torrequebrada, which opened in 1976, is an 18-hole course and known as the ‘Picasso of golf’, it is a beautiful course with panoramic views. 

Living in Benalmádena on the Costa del Sol means you have access to everything you could possibly want. Enjoy beautiful days on the beach or take a trip to Sierra Nevada where you can take bike rides or enjoy mountain hikes, in the winter it turns into a top-class ski resort. Golf lovers can spend a day at one of the fine golf courses the area offers. In Benalmádena there is a butterfly house, dolphinarium, Sea Life Aquarium and a Tivoli with a variety of attractions. If you want to experience the vibrant city of Marbella it is only a 45 km drive. In Benalmádena you will also find the castle of Colomares, which is a tribute to the explorer Christopher Columbus.
