Several excellent reasons to settle in Marbella

Marbella is a beautiful town located on Costa del Sol, an area that has been very popular for many years. During the summer season, the population doubles as tourists arrive in the city. The old town of Marbella dates back to Roman times and boasts narrow winding alleys which are lined with charming shops. Here, you will also find Plaza de Los Naranjos (Orange Square), where there are plenty of bijou cafes and restaurants amongst the orange trees.

Just outside Marbella lies the exclusive area of Puerto Banus where you will find a scenic harbour promenade and a marina filled with luxury yachts. The harbour is surrounded by upmarket boutiques and bars. The famous Paseo Maritimo, a beautiful 2km long promenade that stretches from Marbella to Puerto Banus, is perfect for a relaxing scenic walk.

As you stroll, you can admire the luxurious residences, prestigious nightclubs and coastal estates which comprise the well-known 'Golden Mile'. The boardwalk is being expanded on an ongoing basis so that residents can walk long walks throughout the year enjoying idyllic sea views.

The Puerto Deportivo de Marbella is in the centre of Marbella. The marina is also one of the best areas to get a taste of Marbella due to the full range of restaurants, cocktail bars and terraces with views of the Mediterranean. The marina has a Blue Flag seal of quality.

Malaga Airport, which serves the entire Costa Del Sol area, is about 40 minutes away and is easily reached by bus, car or taxi.

Buying a house or apartment in Marbella

Marbella has for many years been a well-loved city among Europeans who have chosen to buy properties on Spain's southernmost coast. Some residential areas in Marbella are exclusive, but there are locations and residences to suit everyone. A popular area is Nueva Andalucía because of the stunning location and proximity to the many upscale facilities. Our estate agents will be happy to tell you more about all the residential areas and their benefits.

Marbella is a major tourist destination and a popular resort city, partly because of its climate which produces sunny weather throughout the whole year. In addition, there is an enormous range of activities to enjoy. Unlike some smaller holiday resorts, Marbella is bursting with life all year round. For anyone who enjoys golf, there are several excellent golf courses in the immediate area such as Aloha Club de Golf, Los Naranjos Golf and Calanova Golf Club.
