The airport is only 8 km from the capital Palma de Mallorca, which quickly can be reached by bus or taxi.

What to see and do in Mallorca 

Mallorca is an island of many options, you can relax at the beach, play golf or tennis, go for a hike in the mountains or enjoy some exciting watersports. The UNESCO World Heritage List includes the Serra Tramuntana mountain range, which is perfect for cyclists and hikers, offering incredible high-altitude nature experiences. The number two world’s best tennis player is a big name on Majorca, Rafael Nadal has his tennis academy on the island, and you will find tennis courts in every village. Other sports are well supported; the island has many golf courses like the prestigious Arabella Golf course, the largest in Spain. To enjoy the local culture, you can visit one of the many markets around the island or spend some time in Palma. There is always something to do for adventure seekers and those a bit more laid back. A drive around Mallorca is a pleasure and it only takes 4 hours to circle the coast road. 

Living in Palma

Palma offers a big city vibe with plenty of cultural offerings, concerts, art and of course the fascinating historical quarter. Palma is an intimate and vibrant city with an exciting nightlife and every level of gastronomic delight from street food to fine cuisine. As you would expect, fish plays a large part in the island diet, and the best place to buy it is at the Lonja fish market.

Head out on the streets in Palma; it’s where everybody goes! A perfect spot to meander around and take a break at one of the charming street cafes is the La Lonja area. Visiting in December? Don’t miss listening to Christmas carols in the gothic 400-year-old Santa Maria or Le Seu cathedral. 

Want something a bit more upbeat? Head to the old fishing quarter of Santa Catalina that has seen a sensitive makeover, with plenty of bars and restaurants. In the mood for some serious shopping? Head over to the large Porto Pi shopping centre to find whatever it is you are looking for!
